The Blackball Salami Company started as a family business in 1992 in the 'Stonehouse' (see logo), near Blackball on the West Coast. It was started in the kitchen, where recipes were tested and improved upon to produce the wonderful flavours now available
. In February 1999 the people in Blackball watched in horror as the business went up in smoke. It was a difficult time but every cloud has its silver lining and in its place has arisen the new, purpose built premises.
